Welcome to Day two of TTK!

Welcome back for day two of the Technology Toolkit class!

We are going to spend a good portion of today looking at a variety of web resources designed to help us integrate technology into the curriculum and increase teacher productivity. Here are some of the websites we will look at:

DAY TWO ACTIVITIES

Activity 2-1: Install Picasa and iTunes software on the computer

Activity 2-2: Take stock photos or digital camera pictures and use Picasa2 to edit them and reduce their size

Activity 2-3: Create a Powerpoint with 6 slides. Add appropriate design, transitions, animations, and embed appropriately sized photographs and clip art.

Activity 2-4: Create a concept map of a topic/subject that you teach using Inspiration

Activity 2-5: Find a lesson plan idea using MarcoPolo or Wikkipedia

Activity 2-6: Set up your own Blog site on Blogger.com

Activity 2-7: Use your Blog site to create a webquest for your students

Activity 2-8: Complete Reflective Journal Day Two Activity

Welcome Technology Toolkit Class!

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome my technology toolkit class to my blog site. Blogging is an overused term that is basically a "web log". In other words it is a webpage or webpages with someones ideas and thoughts on them. In this case mine!

In some blogs you can respond and in others you can not. But in the end they are essentially websites generated using WYSIWYG tools. (WYSIWIG = What You See Is What You Get). We will post a variety of links and materials on this site for you to use in class. Good luck and have fun!
